Dr Shruti Swamy is a Paediatric Allergist and Immunologist at Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore Hospitals, where she has developed allergy services in both metropolitan and regional centers. Her expertise includes IgE-mediated allergies (food, drug, venom), gastrointestinal allergic diseases (eosinophilic oesophagitis, FPIES), severe eczema, allergic rhinitis, chronic urticaria, and auto-inflammatory conditions. She also addresses autoimmune conditions and suspected immunodeficiencies.

Dr Celia Zubrinich is a Consultant Physician with special interest in all aspects of allergy, with particular expertise in food, drug and venom allergies, and she continues active involvement in clinical research at the Alfred Hospital. Dr Zubrinich has undertaken dedicated allergy fellowship training at the Alfred Hospital Allergy and Asthma unit and continues to consult there. She is a member of the Alfred Health Adverse Drug Reactions Committee, as well as being an investigator in clinical trials and contributing to teaching within the unit. She has participated in the National Allergy Strategy and is a member of the ASCIA Allergen Immunotherapy Working Party as well as being a member of a new collaboration, the Australian Registry of Severe Cutaneous Adverse Reactions (AUS-SCAR). She is involved in clinical research through the Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Masters Program. She is a current Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and the American Thoracic Society (ATS).

Dr Katie Frith is a consultant specialist in paediatric immunology and allergy. She trained in immunology and allergy at Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She is an active member of ASCIA, and is the current chair of the ASCIA anaphylaxis committee, chair of the 33rd ASCIA conference and a member of the ASCIA paediatric committee. Dr Frith has expertise in diagnosing and managing children with food allergies, allergic rhinitis, and hives and has a particular interest in Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis (FPIES). She is also experienced in looking after children with inborn errors of immunity, including primary immune deficiencies (PID) and immune dysregulation.

A/Prof Pinzon Charry is a Paediatric Clinical Immunologist and Allergist based at the Queensland Children's Hospital and in private practice. He combines clinical work, research, as well as trainee education. He is a regular examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and holds academic appointments with Griffith University and the University of Queensland. Dr Pinzon Charry is the Queensland representative for the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and serves in the Clinical Immunology Committee for the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS).

Maria Said AM has been a member of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) since 1993 when her son was diagnosed with severe atopy (allergic disease) including food allergy. As a volunteer, she became national President of the organisation in 1999. Maria is an advocate for individuals who live with allergic diseases including food allergy and the risk of anaphylaxis. She shares information on the mission of the organisation and the consumer perspective with teaching and health professionals, the food industry, federal and state government departments and the Australian community. Maria is an associate member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and holds a position on several working parties. She has co-authored several publications in medical and food industry journals. Maria is a committee member of international organisations with a focus on allergic disease and has presented at several US and European medical and food industry meetings. As CEO of A&AA, Maria forwarded statements to Australian Coroners after the deaths of individuals from food anaphylaxis. Maria has assisted State Coroners as an expert witness in seven coronial inquests. The unfolding of these investigations has resulted in change throughout Australia.
